Jami' al-Tirmidhi · Hadith 1641

حدثنا ابن أبي عمر، حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن الزهري، عن ابن كعب بن مالك، عن أبيه، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ إن أرواح الشهداء في طير خضر تعلق من ثمرة الجنة أو شجر الجنة ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح ‏.‏

Narrated Ka'b bin Malik: From his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The souls of the martyrs are in green birds, suspended from the fruit of Paradise, or the trees of Paradise."[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
