حدثنا محمد بن معمر أبو عبد الله البصري، حدثنا روح بن عبادة، حدثنا شعبة، أخبرني موسى بن أنس، قال سمعت أنس بن مالك، يقول قال رجل يا رسول الله من أبي قال ‏"‏ أبوك فلان ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فنزلت ‏:‏ ‏(‏ يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تسألوا عن أشياء إن تبد لكم تسؤكم ‏)‏ ‏.‏ قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن غريب صحيح ‏.‏

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is my father?" He said: "Your father is so-and-so." He said: "So (the following) was revealed: O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble (5:101)."
