حدثنا محمد بن بشار، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، حدثنا سفيان، عن أبي الزبير، عن جابر، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يقولوا لا إله إلا الله فإذا قالوها عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحقها وحسابهم على الله ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثم قرأ ‏:‏ ‏(‏ إنما أنت مذكر * لست عليهم بمسيطر ‏)‏ ‏.‏ قال أبو عيسى هذا حديث حسن صحيح ‏.‏

Jabir narrated that : the Messenger of Allah said: “I have been ordered to fight the people until they say: ‘La ilaha illallah’. So when they say that, their blood and their wealth are safe from me, except for a right, and their reckoning is for Allah.” Then he recited: So remind them – you are only one who reminds. You are not a dictator over them.
