Sahih Bukhari · Hadith 1262

حدثنا قبيصة، حدثنا سفيان، عن هشام، عن أم الهذيل، عن أم عطية رضى الله عنها قالت ضفرنا شعر بنت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏ تعني ثلاثة قرون‏.‏ وقال وكيع قال سفيان ناصيتها وقرنيها‏.‏

Narrated Um 'Atiyya: We entwined the hair of the dead daughter of the Prophet into three braids. Waki said that Sufyan said, "One braid was entwined in front and the other two were entwined on the sides of the head."
