Sahih Bukhari · Hadith 1591

حدثنا إسماعيل، قال حدثني مالك،‏.‏ وحدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف، أخبرنا مالك، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، عن حفصة رضى الله عنهم زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنها قالت يا رسول الله، ما شأن الناس حلوا بعمرة ولم تحلل أنت من عمرتك قال ‏"‏ إني لبدت رأسي، وقلدت هديي فلا أحل حتى أنحر ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Hafsa the wife of the Prophet said, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have the people finished their Ihram after performing `Umra but you have not finished your Ihram after performing `Umra?" He replied, "I have matted my hair and garlanded my Hadi. So I will not finish my Ihram till I have slaughtered (my Hadi). "
