حدثني ثابت بن محمد، حدثنا سفيان، عن الأعمش، عن عبد الله بن مرة، عن مسروق، عن عبد الله رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. وعن سفيان، عن زبيد، عن إبراهيم، عن مسروق، عن عبد الله، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " ليس منا من ضرب الخدود، وشق الجيوب، ودعا بدعوى الجاهلية ".
Narrated `Abdullah (bin Mas`ud): The Prophet said, "Who-ever slaps his face or tears the bosom of his dress, or calls the calls of the Period of Ignorance, is not from us."
