حدثنا محمد بن صباح، حدثنا إسماعيل بن زكرياء، حدثنا بريد بن عبد الله بن أبي بردة، عن أبي بردة، عن أبي موسى، قال سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجلا يثني على رجل ويطريه في المدحة فقال ‏"‏ أهلكتم أو قطعتم ظهر الرجل ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet heard a man praising another man and he was exaggerating in his praise. The Prophet said (to him). "You have destroyed (or cut) the back of the man."
