حدثنا إسماعيل بن عبد الله، قال حدثني مالك، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ إنما الولاء لمن أعتق ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, "The Wala' is for the manumitted (of the slave).
