حدثني محمد بن رافع، وعبد بن حميد، قال عبد أخبرنا وقال ابن رافع، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا معمر، عن الزهري، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن أبي هريرة، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ صلاة في مسجدي هذا خير من ألف صلاة في غيره من المساجد إلا المسجد الحرام ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Prayer in my mosque is more excellent than a thousand prayers observed in other mosques except the Masjid al- Haram.
