Sahih Muslim · Hadith 4013

حدثنا حسن بن علي الحلواني، حدثنا أبو توبة، حدثنا معاوية، عن يحيى بن، أبي كثير عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبي هريرة، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ من كانت له أرض فليزرعها أو ليمنحها أخاه فإن أبى فليمسك أرضه ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who has land should cultivate it or lend it to his brother, but if he refuses, he should retain his land.
