Sahih Muslim · Hadith 4141

وحدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا يعقوب، - يعني ابن عبد الرحمن القاري - عن سهيل، عن أبيه، عن أبي سعيد الخدري، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ لا تبيعوا الذهب بالذهب ولا الورق بالورق إلا وزنا بوزن مثلا بمثل سواء بسواء ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not sell gold for gold and silver for silver weight for weight or of the same quality.
