وحدثنا علي بن حجر السعدي، وعمرو الناقد، وزهير بن حرب، - واللفظ لعلي وزهير - قال علي أخبرنا وقال الآخران، حدثنا سفيان، قال سمع عمرو، جابرا يقول قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ الحرب خدعة ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: War is a stratagem.
