وحدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة، حدثنا وكيع بن الجراح، عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد وقال عبدا حبشيا مجدعا ‏.‏

In other versions of the above tradition, the wordings are" an Abyssinian slave." and" a maimed Abyssinian slave".
