Sahih Muslim · Hadith 5365

وحدثنا يحيى بن يحيى، قال قرأت على مالك عن أبي الزبير، عن جابر، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بهذا الحديث غير أنه قال ‏"‏ واكفئوا الإناء أو خمروا الإناء ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ولم يذكر تعريض العود على الإناء ‏.‏

This hadith is reported on the authority of Jabir but with a slight change of wording, and he did not mention the words: " Putting a stick across the vessel."
