The Book Pertaining to the Remembrance of Allah; Supplication; Repentance and Seeking Forgiveness - كتاب الذكر والدعاء والتوبة والاستغفار
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى، ومحمد بن بشار، قالا حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن أبي إسحاق، عن أبي الأحوص، عن عبد الله، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه كان يقول " اللهم إني أسألك الهدى والتقى والعفاف والغنى " .
Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) used to supplicate (in these words): " O Allah. I beg of Thee the right guidance, safeguard against evils, chastity and freedom from want."
