Sunan Abi Da'ud · Hadith 4096

حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا يحيى، عن محمد بن أبي يحيى، قال حدثني عكرمة، أنه رأى ابن عباس يأتزر فيضع حاشية إزاره من مقدمه على ظهر قدميه ويرفع من مؤخره ‏.‏ قلت لم تأتزر هذه الإزرة قال رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يأتزرها ‏.‏

Ikrimah said that he saw Ibn Abbas putting on lower garment, letting the hem on the top of his foot and raising it behind. He said: Why do you put on the lower garment in this way? He replied: It is how I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) do it.
