Sunan Abi Da'ud · Hadith 4590

حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا معاذ بن هشام، حدثني أبي، عن قتادة، عن أبي نضرة، عن عمران بن حصين، أن غلاما، لأناس فقراء قطع أذن غلام لأناس أغنياء فأتى أهله النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقالوا يا رسول الله إنا أناس فقراء ‏.‏ فلم يجعل عليه شيئا ‏.‏

Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: A servant of some poor people cut off the ear of the servant of some rich people. His people came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah! we are poor people. So he imposed no compensation on them.
