Sunan Abi Da'ud · Hadith 822

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، وابن السرح، قالا حدثنا سفيان، عن الزهري، عن محمود بن الربيع، عن عبادة بن الصامت، يبلغ به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ لا صلاة لمن لم يقرأ بفاتحة الكتاب فصاعدا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قال سفيان لمن يصلي وحده ‏.‏

'Ubadah b. al-Samit reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying : the prayer is not valid I one does not recite fatihat al-kitab and something more, sufyan( the narrator) said: This applies to a man who prays alone.
