Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 2027

أخبرنا هارون بن إسحاق، قال حدثنا حفص، عن ابن جريج، عن سليمان بن موسى، وأبي الزبير، عن جابر، قال ‏:‏ نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يبنى على القبر، أو يزاد عليه، أو يجصص ‏.‏ زاد سليمان بن موسى ‏:‏ أو يكتب عليه ‏.‏

It was narrated that Jabir said: "The Messenger of Allah forbade building over graves, making them larger or plastering over them." (One of two narrators) Sulaiman bin Musa added: "Or writing on them."
