Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 2124

أخبرنا أحمد بن عثمان أبو الجوزاء، - وهو ثقة بصري أخو أبي العالية - قال أنبأنا حبان بن هلال، قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن ابن عباس، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ صوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته فإن غم عليكم فأكملوا العدة ثلاثين ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah said; 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty (days)."'
