Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 2191

أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحكم، عن شعيب، عن الليث، قال أنبأنا خالد، عن ابن أبي هلال، عن ابن شهاب، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ من قام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Saeed bin Al-Musayyab that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever spends the nights of Ramadan in prayer (Qiyam) out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins." '
