Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 3264

أخبرنا محمد بن منصور، قال حدثنا سفيان، عن زياد بن سعد، عن عبد الله بن الفضل، عن نافع بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ الثيب أحق بنفسها والبكر يستأمرها أبوها وإذنها صماتها ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said: "A previously married woman has more right (to decide) about herself (with regard to marriage), and a virgin should be consulted by her father, and her permission is her silence."
