Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 3803

أخبرنا عمرو بن علي، قال حدثنا يحيى، قال حدثنا سفيان، عن منصور، عن عبد الله بن مرة، عن ابن عمر، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ النذر لا يقدم شيئا ولا يؤخره إنما هو شىء يستخرج به من الشحيح ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'A vow does not bring anything forward or put it back; it is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly.'"
