Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 3804

أخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن عبد الرحمن، قال حدثنا سفيان، قال حدثنا أبو الزناد، عن الأعرج، عن أبي هريرة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ لا يأتي النذر على ابن آدم شيئا لم يقدره عليه ولكنه شىء يستخرج به من البخيل ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "A vow does not bring anything to the son of Adam that has not been decreed for him. It is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly."
