Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 4329

أخبرنا الحسين بن حريث، قال حدثنا الفضل بن موسى، عن الحسين، - وهو ابن واقد - عن أبي الزبير، عن جابر، وعمرو بن دينار، عن جابر، وعن ابن أبي نجيح، عن عطاء، عن جابر، قال أطعمنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم خيبر لحوم الخيل ونهانا عن لحوم الحمر ‏.‏

It was narrated that Jabir said: " On the Day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah allowed us to eat the flesh of horses but he forbade us from the flesh donkeys."
