The Book of Cutting off the Hand of the Thief - كتاب قطع السارق
أخبرنا هارون بن عبد الله، قال حدثنا الأسود بن عامر، قال أنبأنا الحسن بن حى، عن منصور، عن الحكم، عن عطاء، ومجاهد، عن أيمن، قال يقطع السارق في ثمن المجن وكان ثمن المجن على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دينارا أو عشرة دراهم .
It was narrated that Ayman said: "The (hand of) a thief is to be cut off for the price of a shield, and the price of a shield during the time of the Messenger of Allah was a Dinar, or ten Dirhams." (Daif)
