Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 5000

أخبرنا قتيبة، قال حدثنا الليث، عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب، عن أبي الخير، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، أن رجلا، سأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أى الإسلام خير قال ‏"‏ تطعم الطعام وتقرأ السلام على من عرفت ومن لم تعرف ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that: A man asked the Messenger of Allah [SAW]: "What quality of Islam is best?" He said: "To feed (the poor) and to say the Salam to whomever one knows and whomever one does not know."
