Sunan an-Nasa'i · Hadith 5113

أخبرنا قتيبة، قال حدثنا داود، - وهو ابن عبد الرحمن العطار - عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ إن من خير أكحالكم الإثمد إنه يجلو البصر وينبت الشعر ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قال أبو عبد الرحمن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم لين الحديث ‏.‏

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "One of the best kinds of kohl that you use is Ithmid (antimony); it brightens the vision and makes the hair (eye-lashes) grow."
