Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 16

حدثنا محمد بن يحيى النيسابوري، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أنبأنا معمر، عن الزهري، عن سالم، عن ابن عمر، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ‏"‏ لا تمنعوا إماء الله أن يصلين في المسجد ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فقال ابن له إنا لنمنعهن ‏.‏ فقال فغضب غضبا شديدا وقال إني أحدثك عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وإنك تقول إنا لنمنعهن ‏.‏

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:" Do not prevent the female slaves of Allah from praying in the mosque." A son of his said: We will indeed prevent them!" He got very angry and said: "I tell you a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and you say, we will indeed prevent them?!"
