Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 1911

حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة، حدثنا محمد بن فضيل، عن عمارة بن القعقاع، عن أبي زرعة، عن أبي هريرة، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ من سأل الناس أموالهم تكثرا فإنما يسأل جمر جهنم فليستقل منه أو ليكثر ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Abu Hurairah narrated that: the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: “Whoever begs from people so as to accumulate more riches, he is asking for alive coal from hell, so let him ask for a lot or a little.”
