Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 1921

حدثنا أبو مروان، محمد بن عثمان العثماني حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد، عن الزهري، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن سعد، قال لقد رد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على عثمان بن مظعون التبتل ولو أذن له لاختصينا ‏.‏

It was narrated that: Sa'd said: “The Messenger of Allah disapproved of Uthman bin Maz'un's desire to remain celibate; if he had given him permission, we would have gotten ourselves castrated.”
