Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 2181

حدثنا علي بن محمد، حدثنا أبو معاوية، عن بشار بن كدام، عن محمد بن زيد، عن ابن عمر، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إنما الحلف حنث أو ندم ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "An oath (leads to) either sin or regret. "
