Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 2205

حدثنا سهل بن أبي سهل، حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة، حدثنا أيوب، عن أبي قلابة، عن عمه، عن عمران بن الحصين، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ لا نذر في معصية ولا نذر فيما لا يملك ابن آدم ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "[There is no vow to commit disobedience and] no vow concerning that which the son of Adam does not possess."
