Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 3915

حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا الأعمش، عن يزيد الرقاشي، عن أنس بن مالك، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ اعتبروها بأسمائها وكنوها بكناها والرؤيا لأول عابر ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It wasnarrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said: “Interpret them (dreams) in accordance with the names of thethingsyou see, and understand what is hinted at, and the dream is forthefirst interpreter.”
