Sunan Ibn Majah · Hadith 4186

حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير، حدثنا أبي ووكيع، عن الأعمش، عن شقيق، عن عبد الله، قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ يكون بين يدى الساعة أيام يرفع فيها العلم وينزل فيها الجهل ويكثر فيها الهرج ‏"‏ ‏.‏ والهرج القتل ‏.‏

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)said: “Just before the Hour, there will be days when knowledge willdisappear, ignorance will become widespread and there will be muchHarj. And Harj means killing.”
