2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) تَعَالَى وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْجُلَّابِ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَعْوَرِ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ (ع) بِأَبِي وَ أُمِّي الْحُسَيْنَ الْمَقْتُولَ بِظَهْرِ الْكُوفَةِ وَ اللَّهِ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْوُحُوشِ مَادَّةً أَعْنَاقَهَا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الْوَحْشِ يَبْكُونَهُ وَ يَرْثُونَهُ لَيْلًا حَتَّى الصَّبَاحِ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَإِيَّاكُمْ وَ الْجَفَاءَ

2. My father and ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain both narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Aḥmad ibn Abī Dāwūd, from Sa’d ibn (Abī) ‘Amr Al-Jallāb, from Ḥārith Al-A’war (Al-Hamdāni), who said: ‘Ali, (the Commander of the Believers ), said: May I sacrifice my father and mother for Ḥusain who will be killed on the outskirts of Kūfah. I swear to Allāh that it is as if I can see the different kinds of wild animals stretching their necks to his grave, crying and weeping over him throughout the night until dawn. When this happens, beware of neglecting him (his grave).
