Chapter 2 | The Reward for the Ziyārah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ
18 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ أَبِي شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ (ع) لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) يَا أَبَتَاهْ مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ زَارَكَ فَقَالَ (ص) يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ زَارَنِي حَيّاً أَوْ مَيِّتاً كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَزُورَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ
18. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abī Shihāb, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali asked the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, “O father! What is the reward for those who come to your Ziyārah?” He (the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ) replied, “O my son! On the Day of Judgment, it will be my duty to go to the Ziyārah of those who have come to my Ziyārah, during my life or after my death, and to save them from their sins.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abī Shihāb, from Abī ‘Abdillāh .
