Chapter 70 | The Reward for the Ziyārah of Ĥusain on the Day of ‘Arafah

8 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ نَظَرَ اللَّهُ إِلَى زُوَّارِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَيَقُولُ ارْجِعُوا مَغْفُوراً لَكُمْ مَا مَضَى وَ لَا يُكْتَبُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ ذَنْبٌ سَبْعِينَ يَوْماً مِنْ يَوْمِ يَنْصَرِفُ

8. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from someone who he mentioned, from ‘Umar ibn Ḥasan Al-‘Arzami, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) say: On the Day of ‘Arafah, Allāh looks toward the Zuwwār of the grave of Ḥusain and says, “Return with your past sins forgiven.” (Moreover) no sins will be registered for them for up to seventy days after they return.
