Chapter 76 | Permission Not to Perform the Ghusl Before the Ziyārah of Ĥusain
5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ أَبِي نَابٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) عَنِ الْغُسْلِ إِذَا أَتَيْتُ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ غُسْلٌ
5. Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ya’qūb narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ḥasan ibn Faďďāl, from ‘Abbās ibn ‘Āmir, from Abī Nāb Ḥasan ibn ‘Aťiyyāh, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) about performing Ghusl when going to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain . Imam replied, “Performing Ghusl is not obligatory.”
