5. Ḥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad narrated to me from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Jabalah, from Salām ibn Abī ‘Amrah, from Sa’d ibn Ťarīf, from Asbagh ibn Nubātah, who said: ‘Ali (the Commander of the Believers ) said: Praying a recommended prayer in this mosque (Mosque of Kūfah) is equal to performing an ‘Umrah with the Prophet ﷺ, and praying an obligatory prayer in it is equal to performing a Hajj with the Prophet ﷺ. Indeed one thousand prophets and one thousand successors have prayed in this mosque.
