Chapter 83 | The Reward for Establishing the Obligatory and “Nāfilah” Prayers Next to the Grave of Ĥusain

4. Ḥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā narrated to me from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from ‘Alā ibn Razīn, from Shu’ayb Al-‘Aqraqūfi, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ), “May I sacrifice myself for you! What is the reward and the recompense for those who go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain ?” Imam replied, “O Shu’ayb! No one establishes prayers next to him without Allāh accepting it and no one prays for anything next to him without it being fulfilled (either) immediately or in the future.” I said, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Tell me more.” Imam replied: O Shu’ayb! The least (rewarding statement) with which a Zā`ir of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali will be addressed is: O Slave of Allāh! Verily your (past) sins have been forgiven. Therefore, start again with new deeds.
