Chapter 96 | How Those Who Live Far (from the Grave of Ĥusain ) Should Perform His Ziyārah

1 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ره عَنْ سَعْدٍ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) إِذَا بَعُدَتْ بِأَحَدِكُمُ الشُّقَّةُ وَ نَأَتْ بِهِ الدَّارُ فَلْيَعْلُ أَعْلَى مَنْزِلٍ لَهُ فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ لْيُومِ بِالسَّلَامِ إِلَى قُبُورِنَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَصِيرُ إِلَيْنَا

1. My father narrated to me from Sa’d, and from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Abī ‘Umayr, from someone who narrated to him, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: If any of you lives far (from us) and there is a great distance between you and us, you should ascend to the highest place of your house, establish two Rak’ah of prayers, point toward our graves, and say Salām to us, for verily it will reach us.
