The Dictations · Hadith 105 (#Ḥadīth #4)

105 / 4 - حدثنا أحمد بن علي بن إبراهيم (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن عبد الله بن المغيرة، عن عمرو الشامي، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال (إن عدة الشهور عند الله اثنا عشر شهرا في كتاب الله يوم خلق السموات والارض) (4) فغرة الشهور شهر الله عز وجل، وهو شهر رمضان، وقلب شهر رمضان ليلة القدر، ونزل القرآن في أول ليلة من شهر رمضان فاستقبل الشهر بالقرآن (1).

Ahmad b. `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from `Abdullah b. al-Mughira from `Amr al-Shami from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: “Surely, the number of months with Allah is twelve months in the Book of Allah on the day that He created the heavens and the Earth.” (9:36) The best of the months is the month of Allah, which is the month of Ramadan. The heart of the month of Ramadan is the Night of Power. The Quran came down in the first night of the month of Ramadan. So, welcome the month with the Quran.
