Chapter 94 | The Ninety-Fourth Assembly, Dictated on Tuesday, the Seventeenth of Sha`ban, 368 AH in Holy Mashhad (Peace Be Upon its Inhabitant), When He Went to Houses Beyond the River
9 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم بن أحمد بن هشام المؤدب (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا حمزة بن القاسم العلوي العباسي، قال: حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مالك الفزاري الكوفي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسين بن يزيد الزيات الكوفي، قال: حدثنا سليمان بن حفص المروزي، قال: حدثنا سعد بن طريف، عن الاصبغ بن نباتة، قال: سئل أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام) عن علة دفنه لفاطمة بنت رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) ليلا. فقال (عليه السلام): إنها كانت ساخطة على قوم كرهت حضورهم جنازتها، وحرام على من يتولاهم أن يصلي على أحد من ولدها (1).
Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Ahmad b. Hashim al-Mu’addab narrated to us. He said: Hamza b. al-Qasim al-`Alawi al-`Abbasi narrated to us. He said: Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Malik al-Fizari al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Zayyat al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Sulayman b. Hafs al-Maruzi narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. Turayf narrated to us from al-Asbagh b. Nubata. He said: `Ali b. Abi Talib was asked why he had buried Fatima the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (s) at night. So, he said: Surely, she was angry with the people, and she disliked having them present at her funeral. It is also forbidden for those who align with them to pray over one of her descendants.
