The Dictations · Hadith 144 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1 - حدثنا الشيخ أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى بن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، عن محمد بن عيسى وأبي إسحاق النهاوندي، عن عبد الله بن حماد، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن سنان، عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام)، قال: أقبل جيران أم أيمن إلى رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، فقالوا: يا رسول الله: إن أم أيمن لم تنم البارحة من البكاء، لم تزل تبكي حتى أصبحت، قال: فبعث رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) إلى أم أيمن فجاءته، فقال لها: يا أم أيمن، لا أبكى الله عينيك، إن جيرانك أتوني وأخبروني أنك لم تزلي الليل تبكين أجمع، فلا أبكى الله عينيك، ما الذي أبكاك؟ قالت: يا رسول الله، رأيت رؤيا عظيمة شديدة، فلم أزل أبكى الليل أجمع. فقال لها رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): فقصيها على رسول الله، فإن الله ورسوله أعلم. فقالت: تعظم علي أن أتكلم بها. فقال لها: إن الرؤيا ليست على ما ترى، فقصيها على رسول الله. قالت: رأيت في ليلتي هذه، كأن بعض أعضائك ملقى في بيتي. فقال لها رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): نامت عينك يا أم أيمن، تلد فاطمة الحسين، فتربينه وتلينه، فيكون بعض أعضائي في بيتك. فلما ولدت فاطمة الحسين (عليهما السلام)، فكان يوم السابع، أمر رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) فحلق رأسه وتصدق بوزن شعره فضة وعق عنه، ثم هيأته أم أيمن ولفته في برد رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، ثم أقبلت به إلى رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، فقال (صلى الله عليه وآله): مرحبا بالحامل والمحمول، يا أم أيمن، هذا تأويل رؤياك (1).

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Barqi from Muhammad b. `Isa and Abi Ishaq al-Nahawandi from `Abdullah b. Hammad. He said: `Abdullah b. Sinan narrated to us from Abi `Abdillah . He said: The neighbours of Umm Ayman came to the Messenger of Allah (s) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Umm Ayman did not sleep yesterday from weeping, and she did not stop weeping until the morning. He said: So, the Messenger of Allah (s) called for Umm Ayman and she came. So, he said to her: O Umm Ayman! Allah did not cause your eyes to weep. Surely, your neighbours came to me and informed me that you did not stop weeping for the whole night. Allah did not cause your eyes to weep, so what has caused you to weep? She said: O Messenger of Allah! I saw a very harsh dream, so, I could not stop weeping for the whole night. So, the Messenger of Allah (s) said to her: Describe it to the Messenger of Allah, for surely, Allah and His Messenger know best. So, she said: It has overwhelmed me too much to speak about it. So, he said to her: The dream is not what you think you saw, so describe it to the Messenger of Allah (s). She said: I saw this during the night: it was as though one of your limbs was lying in my house. So, the Messenger of Allah (s) said to her: May your eyes sleep, O Umm Ayman. Fatima will give birth to al-Husayn, and she will raise him. He will be one of my limbs in your house. So, when Fatima gave birth to al-Husayn , on the seventh day, the Messenger of Allah (s) ordered that his head be shaved, and that the weight of his hair be donated in silver. Then, he performed his `aqiqa. Then, Umm Ayman came to him, wrapped him, and presented him to the Messenger of Allah (s). So, he (s) said: Welcome to the carrier and the one being carried. O Umm Ayman, this is the interpretation of your dream.
