The Dictations · Hadith 153 (#Ḥadīth #4)

حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن زيد الشحام، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام)، قال: ما من عبد يقول كل يوم سبع مرات: أسأل الله الجنة، وأعوذ بالله من النار، إلا قالت النار: يا رب أعذه مني (3).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Muhammad b. Abi Umayr from Zayd al-Shahham from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: A worshiper does not say [the following] seven times per day -- I ask Allah for Paradise, and I seek refuge in Allah from the Fire -- except that the Fire says: "O Lord! Give him refuge from me."
