The Dictations · Hadith 177 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1 - حدثنا الشيخ الجليل أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى بن عمران الاشعري، عن يوسف بن الحارث، عن محمد بن مهران، عن علي بن الحسن، قال: حدثنا عبد الرزاق، عن معمر، عن إسماعيل بن معاوية، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): إذا كان يوم القيامة زين عرش رب العالمين بكل زينة، ثم يؤتى بمنبرين من نور طولهما مائة ميل، فيوضع أحدهما عن يمين العرش، والآخر عن يسار العرش، ثم يؤتى بالحسن والحسين عليهما السلام)، فيقوم الحسن على أحدهما، والحسين على الآخر، يزين الرب تبارك وتعالى بهما عرشه كما يزين المرأة قرطاها (1).

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya b. `Imran al-Ash`ari narrated to us from Yusuf b. al-Harith from Muhammad b. Mehran from `Ali b. al-Hasan. He said: `Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us from Mu`ammar from Isma`il b. Mu`awiya from Nafi` from Ibn `Umar. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the Throne of the Lord of the Worlds will be decorated with all kinds of ornaments. Then, two pulpits of light – each of them one thousand mille passum in height – will be brought forth. One will be placed to the right of the Throne, and the other will be placed to the left of the Throne. Then, al-Hasan and al-Husayn will be brought forth, and al-Hasan will stand on one of them, and al-Husayn will stand on the other. The Lord will decorate His Throne with them just as a woman adorns [herself with] her earrings.
