The Dictations · Hadith 230 (#Ḥadīth #14)

230 / 14 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن الحسين بن يزيد النوفلي، عن إسماعيل بن أبي زياد السكوني، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: كان النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) يقف عند طلوع كل فجر على باب علي وفاطمة (عليهما السلام)، فيقول: الحمد لله المحسن المجمل المنعم المفضل، الذي بنعمته تتم الصالحات، سمع سامع بحمد الله ونعمته وحسن بلائه عندنا (2)، نعوذ بالله من النار، نعوذ بالله من صباح النار، نعوذ بالله من مساء النار، الصلاة يا أهل البيت (إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا) (3).

My father narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from Isma`il b. Abu Ziyad al-Sukuni from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Prophet ﷺ would halt every daybreak at the door of `Ali and Fatima and say: All praise is for Allah, the Doer of good, Who makes (things) good, the Bestower of favours, the Conferrer of benefits, Who through His favour completes the righteous deeds, ||(let the) listener listen to the praise of Allah and His favour|| and His affliction is worthy (beautiful) in our estimation. We seek refuge in Allah from the Fire, we seek refuge in Allah in the mornings from the Fire and we seek refuge in Allah in the evenings from the Fire. The prayer (be upon you), O Ahl al Bayt, (for), “Allah only desires to keep the uncleanness away from you, O people of the House, and to purify you with a thorough purification” (33:33). (Alhamdulillah al Muhsin al Mujmil al Mun`im al Mufdil, al ladhi bini`matihi tutimmu ‘s salihat; sami`a sami`un(m) bihamdillahi wa ni`matihi wa hasuna balaa’ihi `indana. Na`udhu billahi mina ‘l nar, na`udhu billahi min sabahi ‘l nar, na`udhu billahi min(m) masaa’I ‘l nar. Al-salatu ya Ahl al Bayt – Innama yuridullaha liyudhhiba `ankumu ‘r rijsa Ahl al Bayti wa yutahhirakum tatheera.)
