The Dictations · Hadith 245 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1 - حدثنا الشيخ الفقيه أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مسرور (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن محمد بن عامر، قال: حدثنا المعلى بن محمد البصري، عن أحمد ابن محمد بن عبد الله، عن عمرو بن زياد، عن مدرك بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبي عبد هالله الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام)، قال: إذا كان يوم القيامة جمع الله عز وجل الناس في صعيد واحد، ووضعت الموازين، فتوزن دماء الشهداء مع مداد العلماء، فيرجح مداد العلماء على دماء الشهداء (1).

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi narrated to us. He said: Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us. He said: al-Mu`alla b. Muhammad al-Basri narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Abdullah from `Amr b. Ziyad from Mudrak b. `Abd a-Rahman from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will gather the people on one plane. The scales will be brought out, and the blood of the martyrs will be weighed with the pens of the scholars. The pens of the scholars will outweigh the blood of the martyrs.
