278 / 16 - وأنشدنا الشيخ الجليل أبو جعفر لبعضهم: العالم العاقل ابن نفسه * * أغناه جنس علمه عن جنسه كم بين من تكرمه لغيره * * وبين من تكرمه لنفسه (2)
Abu Ja`far recited a poem to one of them: “The intellectual scholar is the son of himself (self-taught), His knowledge has made him needless of his like, How different is one who does for others and one who does for himself!”
